    Standard Classes

    20 Hour Unarmed Certification Class

    All students must pre-register to reserve classroom seat on Monday at 8:30 am and will be provided tuition training booklet materials and Academy uniform shirt. You will register and start class on assigned training date times and class will run two and half days

    Class cost: $75.00

    20 Hour Firearm Class

    This class is available for individuals who are already unarmed certified and 21 years of age or older. It is an additional 3 days (20 hours) of training. All students must pre-register to reserve classroom seating and will be provided a tuition training booklet, materials and academy uniform shirt.Please arrive Wednesday at 12:30. Please bring your tuition, 20 Hour Unarmed Certification, pen, paper, appropriate picture I.D. and valid F.O.I.D. card or proof of application of F.O.I.D. card. You will register and then start class on the assigned date and time.

    Class cost: $150.00

    40 Hour Unarmed and Armed Certification

    This class is 40 hours and runs for one full week, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    This is the full 40 Hour Unarmed and Armed Certification Course. Please be at the school by 8:30 a.m. with your tuition, pen, paper and picture I.D.

    Illinois Concealed Carry Class

    Tactical Security Protection Academy is now offering the Illinois Concealed Carry Class. Our team of approved Illinois Concealed Carry Firearm Instructors consists of Police, Military, NRA, Tactical and Security Firearm personnel with over 100 years of collective experience. Bring appropriate picture I.D. and valid F.O.I.D. card or proof of application of F.O.I.D

    Class cost: $220.00

    Baton & Handcuffing Class

    Classes are now forming. Learn how to successfully use handcuffs and a baton for personal protection and apprehension of a suspect. These classes should be on every officer’s resume. All students must pre-register to reserve classroom seating.

    Class cost: $85.00

    Life Skills Classes

    Participants will learn the skills and behaviors needed to meet the increased standards required of the security forces of the future. They will also be able to consistently demonstrate the behaviors that reflect the standards, policies and the goals of the Tactical Security Protection Academy through practice, assignments, and role plays during the training. Throughout the “Academy” participants will be expected to learn and understand the mission philosophy and demonstrate the behaviors and competencies associated with the organization. The increased emphasis on soft skills will position the organization to meet the opportunities and needs of the security industry in the future. The vision for the “Academy” is to set the benchmark for professionalism in the security industry and beyond.

    Other Useful Class Information

    Semi-Automatic Class in conjunction with the revolver class and also available in an “Upgrade Class” all students must pre-register to reserve classroom seating.

    Class cost $75.00

    Semi-Automatic class taken during 20 hour armed class will give you both revolver and semi-automatic certification.

    Class cost $75.00

    Taser Training class is a one day class that will teach the proper technique for handling and deployment of a Taser as a non-lethal method of self defense.

    Class cost: $175.00

    Shotgun and Rifle certification classes are also available.

    Advanced Training

    Other advanced classes are available throughout the year and by group special request. These include: Arrest and Restraint procedures (Handcuffing) Conventional Baton ASP (Armament Systems & Procedures) expandable baton (covers any expandable baton) OC/Mace type sprays.
